Staff are brilliant but it is so difficult to get an appointment now when you are working. I can’t have my phone on during the day so I really miss the online appointment system. I appreciate that changes needed to be made but hope that there may soon be a mixture of online and telephone appointments to book.

I'm afraid my recent experience of the Health Centre is not good. My Father came to see a doctor, complaining of pains in his lower chest and arms. He was reassured and told that it was probably just indigestion. He was told to take an over the counter indigestion remedy. Four days later he was dead. The post mortem found that he had died from a heart attack. At the beginning of last week my wife phone to make a appointment with a doctor. She gave a brief description of her problem to the receptionist, who said that a triage nurse would phone her back. She waited by the phone all that day and until lunch time the next day. Nobody phoned her back - she is still waiting!!

Self and husband have recently had very disappointing experiences with this Health Centre which was excellent when we first moved to the area nearly 7 years ago.We endorse other recent comments that the new appointment system introduced in late July is a step backwards and involves long queuing in the phone; twice we have spent nearly half an hour waiting before getting through to speak to Reception. Then the new triage system kicks in that seems designed to restrain patients from face to face contact with a Doctor if at all possible. Formerly patients could book online appointments in advance but no longer since the new system began. We have had enough of poor patient service and care - following a GP consultation we were most unhappy with, we have decided to move to a different GP practice with far higher patient satisfaction ratings than Holmes Chapel now receives. The Health Centre can claim what it likes but it just isn't delivering any more.

I like online appointments - the new system to be introduced on 22 July means no online appointments at all. How is the new appointment system going to stop me calling and being no. 43 in the queue etc.? There will be more people phoning as the people who usually queue at reception or book online will now also have to phone. Also, if I am guaranteed a phone call back in the triage system within 1 hour - that means before 9am - how can anyone be assigned the early appointments before 9am - the phone calls will be after those early times. Each change the surgery makes is worse than the last system. How is non-online booking moving forward?

Receptionist appeared helpful but had inadequate information. Decisions are made but not communicated to patients. The justifications for the decisions are not available and the person who made them seems unknown. Cleanliness of the surgery and the question on appointments are not pertinent but I cannot proceed without a rating - what nonsense.
